Hue (gourd) shaped pearls strung and knotted (by me) on a grey thread, interspersed with little oxidised sterling silver ngarongaro.
Ngarongaro (flies), though not always truly appreciated, play a role in pollinating, decomposition and also as a food source for other insects, lizards and birds.
Classic with a whimsical twist. The length of the pearls and the catch allow the wearer to wear the strand as one long length, or doubled or tripled.
These pearls are the natural colour that the shellfish makes them, soft tones of cream and the gentlest pinks and peaches.
