Set of earwires with 6 interchangable elements that can be changed depending on the wearer’s daily whim.
The pendant elements easily slide onto the ear wire and stop when they hit the back of the earring. Once they are in the ear they are quite secure.
Each element is hand made by me, the little shark teeth are cold joined using a rivet, and the pounamu is hand set (not glued) into a hand fabricated bezel.
I've been playing with this idea since making a little group of fibulae a while ago. I like the idea of a set of complementary, but not matching earrings.
Each set comes with a pair of hooks specifically designed for this idea and 6 different little elements. (please note that these are individually handmade and that there are some slight variations in the natural materials used.)

Dimensions vary depending on which element is worn with the earwire. 30-40mm long total length including hook (approximately)
Materials
Sterling silver, fine silver, amber, shark tooth, kākano kōwhai, pounamu, vintage coral, fresh water pearl.
Care instructions
No jewellery is indestructable. Particularly pieces that have moving parts or which are adjustable such as these interchangable earrings. The hook should not be squeezed to close as this will fatigue the metal and lead to breakage, the ear wire is designed to hold the element without needing to be adjusted.
Avoid contact with chemicals (such as perfumes)
Wipe gently with a damp cloth if cleaning is required.
Do not immerse the kōwhai seed element in water.
